Providing exceptional care to individuals with intellectual disabilities is a rewarding career path for the right individual. At our client's established service, we strive to deliver the highest standard of care in day services, residential settings, respite care, and home support.

This role involves working on a full-time basis, 37.5 hours per week, based in Croom, Limerick. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our service users.

  • A degree in Applied Social Studies or relevant qualification, or eligibility for CORU registration, is required.
  • Minimum three years' experience working with adults/children with intellectual disabilities is essential.
  • Proven managerial skills, including a minimum of three years' experience at a management level and an appropriate management qualification of a minimum of a QQI level 6, are necessary.
  • The ability to work independently and supervise service users/staff in a residential setting is crucial.
  • Experience managing budgets and behaviours that challenge is highly desirable.
  • Good organisation and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
  • A full manual driving license is also required.

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will be responsible for ensuring the needs of our service users are met, teaching daily living and social skills through daily activities, establishing positive relationships, engaging in activities, and completing household tasks. You will also maintain accurate records of service user documentation and perform other duties as required.
