Job Title: Person In Charge

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a challenging role in care provision.

Care providers deliver exceptional support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in residential settings and day services. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to providing a high level of care that enables service users to live fulfilling lives, reach their full potential, and enhance their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing service users' needs and developing personalized care plans to meet those needs
  • Delivering training on daily living skills and social skills through structured activities
  • Fostering strong relationships with service users, promoting emotional well-being and dignity
  • Engaging in activities and managing household tasks, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment
  • Maintaining accurate records of service user documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Applied Social Studies or relevant qualification, eligible for CORU registration or currently registered with CORU
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working with adults/children with intellectual disabilities, demonstrating expertise in behavioral management and supervision
  • Proven leadership skills, including at least three years of management experience and a relevant management qualification (QQI Level 6)
  • The ability to work independently, supervising staff and service users in a residential setting
  • Experience in budget management and behavior intervention
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Full manual driving license, essential for transportation and community engagement
