Healthcare Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Healthcare Assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality personal care, including toileting, meal preparation, moving and transferring, and support for clients with Alzheimer's and dementia.
  • Supervise medication administration and manage light housework and shopping tasks.
  • Foster positive relationships through social interactions and activities.
  • Promote client independence and well-being.
  • Observe, listen to, and engage with clients to build trust.
  • Ensure punctuality and effective time management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and communicate changes or concerns regarding client needs and care.
  • Document and report incidents promptly.
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Completion of at least 2 QQI modules: Care Skills and Care of the Older Person.
  • Minimum of one year's experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Clean Garda Vetting Certificate and International Police Clearance Certificate (if applicable).
  • Willingness to undergo a medical examination for a medical fitness certificate.
  • Driver's license, transport ownership, and proficiency in using Google Maps.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Reliability, dedication, diligence, and trustworthiness.
  • Good understanding of GDPR, particularly its importance in working with the elderly.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland.
