Precast Engineering Manager Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers providing technical direction, mentorship, and support.
  • Oversee the design and detailing of precast concrete elements ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to align design specifications with project goals and timelines.
  • Conduct structural analysis and review engineering calculations to ensure the structural integrity and safety of all precast designs.
  • Develop and implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve design efficiency, reduce production costs, and enhance sustainability.
  • Coordinate with production and installation teams to address technical issues, optimize workflows, and ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree or Chartered Engineer status is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a minimum of 3 years focused on precast concrete design and management.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative and goal-oriented approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of precast concrete design, production, and installation processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and present technical information effectively.
