Job Description:

Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety Manager/EHS Lead

Location: Tipperary and site-specific.

Job Type: Full-time Permanent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our team. We are looking for a skilled EHS Manager/Lead to provide specialist advice and support on all matters relating to the Environment, Health, Safety, and Welfare across the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the health, safety, and environmental management system, ensuring full compliance with legislation, risk assessments, and safe working practices. They will work effectively with the Construction Team to implement the Integrated Management System and ensure the site is adequately set up with a Site-Specific Construction EHS Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards to develop and implement control measures.
  • Collaborate with the Construction Team to ensure the implementation of the Integrated Management System.
  • Ensure all subcontractors are prequalified and allocated to the project.
  • Investigate incidents and report them in accordance with the Incident Management Procedures and Incident Notification Protocol.
  • Communicate safety alerts through toolbox talks on a scheduled basis.
  • Ensure statutory inspections are completed and recorded into the SharePoint safety folders.
  • Provide EHS project and documentation support.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Relevant health and safety diploma or degree.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in an Environmental Health and Safety role.
  • Experience in construction and/or manufacturing would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Focused on results and strives for continuous improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality.
  • Proficient IT systems and Microsoft office literacy.
  • Willingsness to travel as required essential.
