Job Title: Automation Specialist
Key Responsibilities OverviewThis role is pivotal to our team, focusing on designing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge automation systems that support efficient manufacturing and compliance with industry standards.
Primary Objectives:- Develop automation solutions to enhance efficiency and support production goals
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed systems
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment and software
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope and objectives
- Create detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource needs
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation equipment, software, and networked systems. Ensure automation systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Training & DocumentationProvide training and support for end-users on system operation and maintenance. Create and maintain user manuals, maintenance protocols, and project reports. Stay current with evolving technologies and apply best practices across automation disciplines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in automation or control systems, preferably in manufacturing or regulated industries
- Familiarity with FDA cGxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and GAMP software validation is desirable
- Knowledge of standards such as ANSI/ISA-S88, S95, PackML is advantageous
- Exposure to Siemens PLCs, SCADA, and data historian systems preferred
