Key Role:

We are seeking a skilled Child Development Specialist to join our multidisciplinary teams in Dublin North County, North City, and North West.

This dynamic role involves providing tailored psychological supports to children and young people within their communities. The successful candidate will work closely with children, families, and other professionals to deliver early intervention and therapeutic services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide therapeutic support to children presenting with emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns.
  • Develop evidence-informed treatment plans in collaboration with stakeholders, focusing on child-centred approaches.
  • Deliver individual and group-based interventions as appropriate, leveraging various therapeutic models.
  • Engage in collaborative goal setting, case formulation, and consultation with parents, carers, and other professionals.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychology, and/or Chartered Clinical/Counselling/Educational Psychologist status through the Psychological Society of Ireland.
  • Eligibility for registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and therapeutic frameworks.
  • Proven experience delivering psychological interventions to children and families.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, formulation, and therapeutic planning skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
