Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Tax Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the practice, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of SME clients, acting as their primary point of contact for all accounting and tax matters.


Responsibilities
  • Take the lead on a varied portfolio of SME clients, managing workflows and delegating tasks across the non-audit team to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, corporation tax compliance, company secretarial filings, VAT, and payroll returns.
  • Manage and review files, outputs, and financial statements prior to final issue.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to team members and clients.
  • Work closely with existing clients to uncover new opportunities and offer value-added services.
  • Collaborate with the management team to drive business development and help grow the client base.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified ACA (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in practice.
  • Strong working knowledge of FRS 102 and tax compliance across key heads: Corporation Tax, PAYE, VAT.
  • Experience managing both clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Bright) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a professional, client-focused approach.

We offer a competitive salary range of €60,000 – €70,000 (commensurate with experience), along with an annual bonus scheme based on performance.
