About the role: This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Irish M&E Contractor as an Electrical Engineer.

Job Description

- The successful candidate will be based in South Dublin
- Opportunity to work on major data centre projects
- Key responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with designers to develop and refine detailed designs.
2. Reviewing MEP designs to explore better system options.
3. Identifying timing or logistics issues during construction planning.
4. Coordinating with suppliers and preparing subcontractor packages.
5. Reviewing equipment details and organizing orders.
6. Evaluating subcontractor and supplier offers to select the best option.
7. Planning for cranes, lifting, temporary structures, and addressing project risks.

Requirements

- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or supervision, preferably within the relevant industry
- Proficient in electrical systems, National Electrical Code (NEC), safety standards, and troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and oversee projects
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Valid driver's license, safety certifications
- Fluently communicating in German or French is an advantage
