Lead Civil Engineer

Our organization is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to oversee the delivery of complex infrastructure projects. This role involves coordinating and supervising a team of engineers in preparing planning applications, tender packages, and construction reports.

The ideal candidate will have 8 years+ postgrad experience in a consultancy setting and be eager to progress with opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Acting as a Lead Civil Engineer on ongoing projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality outcomes.
  • Supervising a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Attending meetings with key stakeholders, including clients and design teams, to discuss project progression and any issues that may arise.
  • Developing and implementing quality, safety, and environmental protection strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong people skills, with the ability to motivate and develop other design personnel.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng, MIEI / MICE or equivalent).
  • At least 8 years of experience working as a civil engineer on a range of projects, including roads and services infrastructure.
  • Experience dealing with Irish Water applications and a track record of delivering successful master-planning and delivery projects.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software and commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).
  • Excellent numeracy skills and a valid driving license.
