Job Title: Dedicated Support Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Dedicated Support Specialist to join our residential care team. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and communication disorders.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social care practice, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will be committed to the principles of social inclusion and community integration, ensuring that individuals receive an integrated service aligned with their preferences.

Reporting to the Social Care Leader, this role involves working closely with families, advocates, and staff to promote the best interests of each individual. The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma or BA (Ord) Degree in Social Care Practice (Level 7 or higher on the Quality & Qualifications Ireland framework), registration with CORU, and relevant experience in residential settings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Clinical Risk Management and alternative communication methods
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in supporting adults with complex needs and behaviour that challenges
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
