Job Title: Staff Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary: This is a key leadership role responsible for leading cross-functional teams in delivering complex engineering projects.

The successful candidate will be an experienced manufacturing engineer with a strong background in lean six sigma, automation and process improvement. They will possess excellent technical leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead significant engineering projects through project management offices (PMOs).
  • Ensure quality of process and product by adhering to industry standards and specifications.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with process development teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and technology advancement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles across the organization.
  • Engage in system and process troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Education: Level 8 honours degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with proven project management skills.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and direction to engineers, technicians and operators.
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Willingness to source and implement technological advances.
