Cloud Data Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to join our team.


Job Description:

As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining innovative cloud-based data solutions for large and varied datasets on platforms hosted on AWS. This includes leveraging native services, cloud-capable ETL tools, and other data management tools to build incremental data products while ensuring data integrity, availability, and auditability.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Discover, create, and manage new datasets by extracting, transforming, combining, and loading data from various heterogeneous data sources.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines using cloud-native services and tools such as AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and Snowflake.
  • Develop and maintain hybrid environments that include legacy data technologies/platforms while migrating data, pipelines, and products to cloud-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement agile development lifecycle processes, including coding, testing, and iterative solutions.
  • Identify gaps and improvement opportunities in data operations and implement solutions using automation.

Technical Profile:
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud data engineering and relevant data technologies.
  • Expertise in data warehousing, building ETL pipelines, and overall data management.
  • Demonstrable experience using SQL and knowledge of NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Coding proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or Scala, and querying languages like HiveQL or Spark SQL.
  • Experience working in dynamic agile and product-based environments.

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Desire to develop your own knowledge by staying up-to-date with the latest development tools and techniques.
