Syntech Recruitment is seeking a skilled Senior Project Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering strategic growth and driving success in the Mechanical Services industry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Project Handover: Collaborate with project managers to receive project packages and develop comprehensive QEHS documentation.
  • Design Review & Value Engineering: Conduct thorough reviews and exercises based on project documentation to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Programme Development: Assist in creating realistic Programme of Works to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Procurement Collaboration: Work closely with procurement managers to review Plant Packages and approve prior to ordering.
  • Coordination of Mechanical Services: Collaborate with site managers/project managers to coordinate mechanical services and builders' work drawings.
  • Quality Assurance Management: Oversee the management and delivery of Quality Assured documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Document Control: Manage and control project documents, including Drawings, RFIs, and QA Packs, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Project Variations: Assist site management with project variations as necessary, ensuring seamless implementation.
  • O&M Development: Support the development and delivery of Operation & Maintenance manuals, promoting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Commissioning Support: Assist in producing and revising commissioning programmes, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Adherence to Standards: Follow internal templates and procedures for all works carried out, upholding the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or building services, minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering and design, proficiency in CAD and BIM, strong IT and communication skills, analytical abilities, and familiarity with project controls and the full project lifecycle. Additional experience in energy systems and client-facing experience is advantageous.
