Role Overview

  • We are seeking a qualified Road Passenger Driver to join our team.

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and driving safely on public roads. As a Road Passenger Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers in a professional and courteous manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a fleet of coaches and buses to transport passengers safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a high level of vehicle knowledge and adhere to all relevant regulations and laws.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact with passengers in a professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • A full clean 'D' Class Irish driving licence.
  • A digital tachograph card (issued in Republic of Ireland).
  • Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) for Public Service Vehicle (PSV) drivers (issued in Ireland).

Working Conditions:

  • The standard working week consists of 39 hours, exclusive of breaks and is a 5 day week spread over 7 days.
  • Shifts consist of early, middle and late duties.

Training and Development:

  • Vehicle and route familiarisation.
  • AVL training.
  • Periodic CPC training.
  • Customer care and defensive driving techniques.
  • Tachograph regulations and driving hours & working time regulations.
  • Wayfarer ticket machine and ticketing procedures.
  • Accident and breakdown procedures.
  • Health and safety training.
  • Manual handling techniques.

Annual Leave:

  • 20 working days annual leave entitlement.
  • Additional service days after 5, 7 and 10 years service.
