EHS Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Professional to join our team as a key member in the implementation and enforcement of our EHS Management System. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in monitoring and enforcing health and safety standards, conducting site visits and audits, and developing guidelines and processes to support the company in addressing and enforcing regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits and audits to monitor adherence to EHS standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain training programs for employees on EHS policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure EHS considerations are integrated into all business activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in an EHS discipline.
- 3-5 years' experience in a facilities management and/or construction environment.
- Internal auditing accreditation, including Integrated Management Systems (ISO 14000 and ISO 45001).
- Knowledge of Irish health and safety and environmental legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
