Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, with experience in manufacturing environments. You will be responsible for monitoring compliance to workmanship practices and procedures, providing coaching and training as required.
You will conduct defect awareness training with associates, implement reduced final SO inspections in manufacturing cells without increased customer complaints, and identify and champion the introduction of technology to maintain minimum out-of-box (OOB) defects.
You will also monitor in-process scrap, report regularly, and work with engineering to reduce it. Additionally, you will manage MRB and make decisions related to the disposition of non-conforming product, conduct/lead PFMEA and 5Why root cause analysis, and use knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and Lean principles to investigate and solve problems and improve quality.
Furthermore, you will drive an effective internal audit system and schedule, coordinate agency audits, and ensure internal practices deliver high levels of compliance to product approval agency requirements and customer requirements. You will also maintain KPIs, lead investigation and corrective action of internal and external complaints/product concerns, maintain and ensure the quality manual and quality policies are cascaded through operations, and agree QMS best practices with stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum +3 years' experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment, a Level 8 degree or equivalent, demonstrated use of decision making based on judgement and data, SAP user experience, and excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
