Senior Financial Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Galway, Ireland. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting and advisory services to our clients.


Job Description

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a critical role in preparing and completing client files and financial statements to a high professional standard. This will involve:

  • Preparation and completion of client files and financial statements (from start to finish) to a high professional standard, within budget and time deadlines, both internal and statutory.
  • Inclusive of accounts preparation, and income tax returns for individuals, sole traders and directors.
  • Drafting financial reports as required by client assignment.
  • Training junior staff in all technical aspects of accounts preparation and related tax returns, whilst leading them on client assignments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • At least 1-2 years post qualification experience.
  • Relevant degree and an ACA, ACCA, or other accounting or relevant qualification.
  • Business acumen and insight to be an effective business advisor to your clients.
  • Experience in preparing Irish income tax and related returns.
  • Experience in presenting to senior management teams along with excellent report writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
