Job Title: Deputy Decontamination Director

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Deputy Decontamination Director.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in decontamination management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience and 3 years of supervisory/management experience in a similar sized healthcare institution.

This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a commitment to quality and safety.

  • Report to the Decontamination Manager
  • Provide a high level of professional approach and leadership
  • Be responsible for the delivery and review of service user experience
  • Participate and lead in teams/meetings/committees as appropriate
  • Facilitate coordination, cooperation, and liaison across healthcare teams and programs

This role is critical to ensuring effective safety procedures are developed and managed, and that all reusable invasive medical devices are reprocessed and stored in line with current standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective safety procedures
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations
  • Maintain records in accordance with local service and professional standards
  • Manage resources efficiently and effectively
  • Evaluate and manage the implementation of best practice policy and procedures
Requirements:
  • BSc Ordinary degree in Decontamination Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years decontamination experience in a similar environment
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory/management experience in a similar sized healthcare institution
  • Flexibility to work non-core hours and weekends
