We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as Assistant Director of Nursing in a 51 bed nursing home and assisted living facility.

This is a permanent position with flexible hours, offering the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to residents.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing management, with experience in quality improvement, governance, compliance, staff management, and resident wellbeing.

The role involves assisting the Director of Nursing in leading and supervising the delivery of person-centred, evidence-based nursing care, monitoring and evaluating clinical practices, and supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of care plans.

Infection prevention and control measures will also be overseen, along with preparing for, responding to, and following up on HIQA inspections and audits.

Required qualifications include a Registered General Nurse (RGN) registration with the NMBI, a minimum of 3 years' experience in nursing management or a similar aged care setting, and demonstrated knowledge of HIQA and relevant legislation.

Benefits include a salary that can be negotiated depending on experience, 4 weeks annual leave, 24hr GP cover, and further education and training opportunities.

In this role, you will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, develop the annual Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), and deputise for the DON as required.
