Transmission Specialist

- Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Offshore Transmission Expert to join our team.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical oversight during project development, design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Review and assess offshore cable system design, installation methodologies, and risk assessments.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of offshore substations, HVDC/HVAC transmission systems, and interconnectors.
- Oversee contractor performance, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, health & safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Offshore Engineering (or a related field).
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status preferred (or working towards it).
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in offshore wind, transmission, or subsea cable engineering.
- Strong knowledge of HVDC/HVAC transmission systems, offshore substations, and interconnectors.
- Experience with grid codes, Irish & EU offshore regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Familiarity with industry software such as PSS/E, DigSILENT, ETAP, or similar is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
