About the Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled MEICA Project Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team, responsible for delivering critical infrastructure projects across Ireland.
">

No two days will be the same in this role. You will support the design team through various stages of project delivery, from design to final site commissioning and handover.

">

Your Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Project management of all aspects of water and wastewater pumping and treatment installations primarily focused on Mechanical/Electrical/ICA requirements with minor civil works included.
  • Coordinating safety and liaising with our Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment Department.
  • Supporting the design team in delivering innovative solutions and utilizing modern technologies.
  • Procurement of all items required for project delivery.
  • Creating the project program and ensuring that all required project interfaces are allowed for.
  • Liaising and coordinating all works with clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Management of all site labor, including subcontractors.
  • Ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Writing engineering reports, method statements, and commissioning schedules.
  • Responsible for all O&M and Health & Safety documentation and enforcement of safe work practices onsite during all site installations.

Key Competencies and Skills:

  • Proven experience in an engineering role in a Mechanical & Electrical environment.
  • Proficiency in PC skills to include MS office and project software is advantageous.
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Strong engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A willingness to learn and be challenged in the water and wastewater industry.
  • An interest in implementing opportunities and initiatives in a time-restricted schedule.
  • The ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish stated deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • A third-level Mechanical/Electrical or Automation Engineering degree.
  • Similar relevant third-level qualification and experience will be considered.
  • A full EU/Irish driving license.
