Senior Ocean Freight Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Ocean Freight Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in coordinating the movement of ocean freight shipments from origin to destination.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless coordination between imports deliveries and exports collections. You will work closely with operators to provide operational assistance, manage back-office administrative tasks, and maintain accurate records of shipments.

You will also be responsible for covering for operators during holidays, sick leave, or heavy workload periods, ensuring continuity and minimizing disruptions to our operations.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in ocean freight management, working collaboratively with staff members, partners, and customers to achieve common goals.

About the Role
  • Coordinate the movement of ocean freight shipments from origin to destination.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between imports deliveries and exports collections.
  • Provide operational assistance to operators, including managing back-office administrative tasks.
  • Cover for operators during holidays, sick leave, or heavy workload periods.
Requirements
  • 100% fluency and clarity in spoken and written English.
  • Work experience in an office environment in Ireland (minimum 1 year).
  • Work experience in ocean freight in Ireland (minimum 1 year).
  • Excellent IT/PC skills, particularly in Email, Word, Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and comply with internal and external processes.
  • Excellent administrative skills, including following through tasks and queries to completion.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable and flexible, with a strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Good presentation and outgoing personality.
