Clinical Imaging Professional

The position of Clinical Specialist Radiographer – CT is a senior role within the Radiography Services department. Reporting directly to the Radiography Services Manager, this professional has responsibility for managing, leading, guiding, and supervising Radiography staff in the delivery of service on a day-to-day basis.

This individual will have the ability to manage in a rapidly changing environment and possess a willingness to undertake additional duties as assigned from time to time.

Working in a multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Specialist will liaise with various stakeholders, including Clinical Directors, Consultant Cardiologists, and Radiology CNM3 Nurse Leads, to plan and develop a quality professional service to patients.

The CT department consists of multiple units, and this post requires coordinating their usage, ensuring correct and safe usage by non-Radiography staff, and maintaining systems to guarantee optimum image quality at all times.

To be successful in this role, one must possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
