Job Title: Category Manager

Overview

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for someone looking to make a meaningful impact on the business. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing global and/or regional commodity requirements.

Developing and executing detailed commodity strategy is also a key aspect of this role, including assessing opportunities for commodity improvement, developing sourcing strategies, and conducting negotiations and supplier selection.

Delivering commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA), or continuous improvement projects is another important responsibility. Additionally, you will support region/sector NPD Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs and strategy development.

The ideal candidate will have experience in category management and possess strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. They should be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a number of regional categories/commodities across a number of European manufacturing sites.
  • Identify and engage with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality) to capture commodity requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality.
  • Develop and execute detailed commodity strategy, including assessing opportunities for commodity improvement, developing sourcing strategies, and conducting negotiations and supplier selection.
  • Deliver commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA), or continuous improvement projects.
