Job Title: Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist
">About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the full EIA process, delivering EIARs and AA/NIS reports for large-scale renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the full EIA process, delivering EIARs and AA/NIS reports for large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Provide environmental planning expertise to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and policy.
- Keep updated on environmental legislation and planning developments at local and national level.
- Support stakeholder engagement and consultations with local communities, statutory and non-statutory bodies.
- Prepare technical scopes for third-party services and assist with procurement processes.
- Champion health, safety, and environmental best practices across all projects.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous professional development within the team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Level 8 Honours Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline.
- 5 years' plus relevant experience.
- Understanding of Irish planning law and environmental regulations.
- Strong communication skills and experience in dealing with internal (company teams and management) and external parties (industries, communities and regulatory agencies).
