We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional to join our team as a Freight Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and timely freight process flow.
Your primary focus will be on tracking and tracing Transcon files, as well as reporting any issues that may arise. Additionally, you will be responsible for accurate and timely data entry into our operational system, ensuring that all client and vendor information is up-to-date.
You will also play a key role in interacting with customers to arrange their shipments, meeting customer service standards and contributing to good relationships with suppliers.
In this dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to network and communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
- Track and trace Transcon files and reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
- Interact with customers in arranging their shipments to meet customer service standards
- Contribute and maintain good relationships with suppliers
- Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests
Requirements:
- 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Pro-active, strong organizational skills
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word)
