Design and Deliver Excellence as a Senior Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Dublin. As a key member of the design team, you will manage and undertake technical project co-ordination, ensuring high-quality design solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop conceptual designs, prepare sketches, and write comprehensive reports detailing design solutions and feasibility studies.
- Conduct detailed mechanical design including building analysis, HVAC systems, specialist gas, water services, drainage, and fire suppression systems.
- Review junior engineers' design work, providing constructive feedback and guidance on best practices.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the group, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Estimate and control project costs, ensuring effective budget management and resource allocation.
- Ensure seamless coordination between specifications and drawings, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (architects, engineers, QS etc.), facilitating open communication and collaboration.
- Compile comprehensive specifications for mechanical services and installations, highlighting key requirements and expectations.
- Prepare informative guidance documents, summarizing critical information and best practices for stakeholders.
- Prepare contract documentation and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Attend regular design team meetings, contributing expertise and insights to inform decision-making.
- Conduct site inspections and compile inspection reports, capturing essential details and recommendations for improvement.
