Advanced Mechanical Design Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking an exceptional mechanical design specialist to join our team in Cork. This role involves providing high-quality mechanical engineering services and designing innovative solutions for building systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and specification of mechanical engineering solutions to meet current regulations and design standards.
  • Work closely with clients, project engineers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Provide expert support to the estimating, procurement, commercial, and project bid teams.
  • Offer off-site technical assistance to construction teams on projects.

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in all aspects of mechanical engineering services and design.
  • Relevant degree in mechanical or building services engineering.
  • At least three years' experience in a design consultancy environment, preferably with knowledge of CIBSE and ASHRAE design guides, building regulations, EN, and IEC standards.
  • Proficiency in software such as Hevacomp, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite.
