Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Actuarial Associate. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in the pricing execution of our Longevity Reinsurance Business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for navigating new deal opportunities, from assumptions setting and pricing Longevity Risk Transfer transactions. This will involve collaborating with stakeholders across the business to support the pricing of mid-market (£300M+) and 'jumbo' (£1Bn+) pension risk transfer (PRT) deals.

In this fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will work closely with international actuarial and business partners to deliver high-quality results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analysing Pension Plan Experience Data
  • Generating Assumptions and Financial Projections
  • Determining Fees for Reinsuring Longevity Risk

The role also involves supporting our Longevity Reinsurance 'flow' solution for sub GBP300M transactions by:

  • Analysing Materials Provided by Pension Plans
  • Cleansing, Sewing Together and Updating Pensioner Data
  • Preparing Simplification and Transaction Models

To be successful in this position, you will require a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative field, progress towards the Associate of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries designation, strong working knowledge of Excel, and exposure to or willingness to learn programming languages such as SQL and Python.
