Pricing Expertise for Longevity Reinsurance

The Senior Actuarial Associate plays a vital role in the overall pricing strategy of our rapidly growing Longevity Reinsurance Business. This involves navigating new deal opportunities, from assumptions setting and pricing Longevity Risk Transfer transactions, to collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support mid-market (£300M+) and 'jumbo' (£1Bn+) pension risk transfer deals by generating actuarial assumptions and financial projections for underlying pension liabilities.
  • Work closely with international actuarial and business partners in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to protect and leverage data.
  • Liaise with external clients and colleagues to determine mortality and marital assumptions.
  • Analyse pension plan experience data to determine key assumptions.
  • Generate a range of fees for reinsuring longevity risk.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Progress towards the Associate of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries designation. Ideal candidates have prior actuarial work experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and exposure to programming languages such as SQL and Python.
