We are seeking a talented and skilled Graduate GIS Technician to join our team in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early career professional to develop their skills and expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) while working on a variety of projects in the gas utilities sector.

The role will involve a range of tasks, including data capture, GIS maintenance and versioning administration, desktop investigations using GIS and supporting documents, and creation of maps used for design reports and wayleaves/land acquisitions.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of GIS principles and experience in data capture/digitising into GIS and versioning administration. They will also have excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Capture: Collect and process field data and as-laid information
  • GIS Maintenance: Maintain and update GIS systems, including versioning administration
  • Desktop Investigations: Conduct investigations using GIS and supporting documents
  • Map Creation: Create maps for design reports and wayleaves/land acquisitions

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of GIS principles and experience in data capture/digitising into GIS
  • Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
