Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

 

A Healthcare Assistant provides support to individuals in their own homes, promoting their dignity and wellbeing. This role involves assisting with daily activities such as personal care, implementing support plans, and working closely with a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist service users with daily activities such as personal care
  • Implement support plans as directed by the project worker
  • Work closely with the project worker to coordinate and implement the homecare support care plan
  • Provide relief care for carers or colleagues as required

 

The ideal candidate will have a Level 5 QQI qualification in healthcare or equivalent, plus one year of post-qualification experience in a related field. They will also possess excellent communication skills, be able to respect service user dignity, and demonstrate a caring and responsible attitude.

 

Requirements:
  • Level 5 QQI Healthcare qualification or equivalent relevant qualification
  • Minimum one year post-qualification experience in a related field
  • Full clean driving license and access to a car
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
