We are seeking an experienced Software Technical Expert to join our team at GemPool Recruitment. As a provider of banking software solutions, our client requires a skilled individual to provide technical support, troubleshoot software issues, and assist with system installations and maintenance.

  • The ideal candidate will possess a full, clean driving license and own vehicle, as travel is a key aspect of this role.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel frequently across Ireland and Northern Ireland, with occasional trips to the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, resolving software and hardware issues efficiently.
  • Install and configure software both remotely and on-site, ensuring seamless system performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Liaise with customers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating complex cases when required and following through to resolution.
  • Travel to customer sites across Ireland and Northern Ireland, with occasional travel to the UK, to provide hands-on support.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a Windows PC and server environment, with a broad understanding of software installation, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting.
  • A strong ability to work independently, with excellent communication skills and experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Exposure to SQL Server is beneficial, particularly the ability to write queries and understand database structures.
