Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technology Enablement Leader to drive technology changes and oversee the delivery of technology solutions that maximise value at minimum cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of software engineering principles, modern development practices, and utilisation of modern tooling and automation.
  • Oversight of the strategy for this area and ensuring key stakeholders are informed.
  • Promotion of technology values and ways of working within the team and wider software engineering community.
  • Demonstration of pragmatism in terms of commercial delivery and software quality.
  • Leadership, guidance, and direction to teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across technology.
  • Pro-active seeking of external insight, trends, and innovations to ensure best-in-class capabilities.
  • Orchestration of collaboration across the organisation to ensure scalability and long-term efficiency.
  • Development of a culture of awareness, accountability, and compliance with regards to Security, GDPR, IT governance controls, and Business continuity/Disaster recovery.
  • Drive automation in all aspects of the SDLC.
  • Improvement of software delivery and operational performance measured through industry standard metrics.
  • Building strong relationships with internal senior stakeholders and key partner stakeholders to ensure seamless software delivery capability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years in software engineering or DevOps, including 5+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, system design, and modern development practices.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms (such as Azure, GCP) and IaC tooling such as Terraform.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tooling integrated with source control (such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps) at scale.
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite or similar tooling.
  • Working knowledge of scalable Agile SDLCs and distributed systems.
  • Experience with event-driven microservice architectures/platforms an advantage.
  • Familiarity with high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams through enterprise-grade software delivery and operations.
  • Stakeholder-focused with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
