Job Title: Cybersecurity Expertise Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled cybersecurity professional to help safeguard our global infrastructure. As part of our network security team, you will identify and prioritize risks across our data centers, network backbone, optical infrastructure, and edge points of presence.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Detect vulnerabilities in network infrastructure that could lead to sensitive data exposure, unauthorized access, or system unavailability, and drive remediation efforts to address these gaps.
  • Influence the direction of our network security, including management software and infrastructure, to protect the integrity of our platforms.
  • Develop sustainable and scalable network layer security controls and tools, and lead efforts to implement them.
  • Mentor and champion secure practices through collaboration with engineering teams across the organization.
  • Ensure the ongoing security and defense of our critical network infrastructure.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with coding in higher-level languages such as Python, Rust, Go, and C++.
  • Familiarity with configuring and maintaining network platforms like firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, and proxies.
  • Able to learn software frameworks, APIs, and other technologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of implementing and scaling access controls across host and network layers.
  • Knowledge of threat models to better protect against attacks and detect new vectors.
  • Experience leading network efforts to investigate, prevent, and mitigate security incidents.
  • Ability to evaluate and test new vendor platforms and in-house network initiatives for security issues.
  • Experience leveraging layered security models to defend critical network infrastructure.
