Job Opportunity

Summary: We are seeking a qualified nurse to provide care and support to a child with complex needs in their own home. The successful candidate will have experience working with children, be able to administer medication, manage seizures, and perform other related duties.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care and support to the child
  • Manage medications, including administering buccal midazolam if required
  • Perform seizure management, including suctioning and airway management
  • Care for the child's skin integrity, including managing pressure sores
  • Work collaboratively with the family and other healthcare professionals to ensure the child's needs are met
  • Document all care provided, including any changes to the child's condition or treatment plan

Requirements:

  • Current PIN issued by NMBI
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Full clean driving license desirable
