Project Director, Critical Systems Management

The role offers flexibility in location across the US with a travel expectation of 50%.


About the Role:
  • We are seeking a skilled Project Director to lead critical systems management projects and programs.
  • This is a full-time position requiring extensive travel throughout the US.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing project plans, organizing resources, and monitoring progress to ensure successful project delivery.
  2. Collaborating closely with clients to determine on-site escalation processes.
  3. Managing cross-functional teams, communicating objectives clearly, and ensuring effective team collaboration.
  4. Creating roadmaps to connect projects to larger programs, assessing program performance, and representing project teams at technical meetings.
  5. Evaluating project completion against budget and coordinating staff adjustments and change orders with Site Leads and Project Managers.
  6. Preparing reports for Delivery Managers and Project Managers, supporting senior management with business development activities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or equivalent military or industrial training, with 7+ years of experience in electrical/mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plant operations, or related field or construction management.
  • Experience in commissioning or maintaining critical electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Background in project management for engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with general contractors.
  • Knowledgeable in major regulations, industry codes, and standards, as well as basic construction materials, means, and methods.
  • Strong Microsoft Project skills or equivalent.
  • Qualified to obtain PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Qualified to obtain Cx certifications.
