Plant Operations Leader

The Plant Operations Leader oversees the daily operations of a power generation facility, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. This role involves coordinating with field staff from the control room and managing plant process parameters to maintain safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimise plant performance by monitoring and adjusting process parameters
  • Coordinate with control room staff to ensure seamless communication and operation
  • Act as the main point of contact for the National Control Centre
  • Oversee grid-related testing and inspections to ensure equipment is in good working order
  • Lead shift teams and train operators on best practices and safety standards
  • Manage logs, consumables, inventories, and maintenance schedules to ensure operational excellence

Requirements:

  • Technical qualification in mechanical or electrical disciplines
  • Experience in power plant operations or similar industrial facilities
  • Proficiency in electro-mechanical systems, tools, and inventory control
  • Strong leadership and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Fluency in English and ability to interpret technical documentation
