Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.
Key Responsibilities:- To assess, diagnose and treat adults with communication disorders, cognitive impairments and swallowing difficulties.
- To conduct specialist dysphagia assessments and provide interventions for acute patients.
- To work closely with patients who have neurological conditions such as stroke, brain injury or progressive neurological disease.
- To collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
- To educate and train patients, families and hospital staff on speech and language therapy techniques.
- To maintain accurate and timely clinical records and contribute to service development initiatives.
- A recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy is essential.
- CORU registration (or eligibility) is also required.
- Dysphagia certification is necessary for this role.
- Relevant experience in acute care settings is desirable.
- Experience in neurological rehabilitation, stroke care and/or orthopaedics would be an advantage.
- Strong teamwork, communication and organisational skills are essential for this position.
This is a permanent full-time role working within a supportive team environment.
Ongoing training and professional development opportunities will be available.
