We are currently recruiting a Technical Lead for an electrical team in County Limerick. As a highly skilled and experienced Technician Leader, you will have proven experience working with automated manufacturing systems, including PLCs and robotics.

This role involves managing a team of 2 Electrical Fitters and is responsible for conducting routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on automated machinery. You will identify and resolve technical issues with automated systems, implement upgrades and modifications to automation systems, and enhance the efficiency, reliability, and safety of all machinery.

You will lead on all preventative maintenance approaches with all equipment and ensure PM plans as per machine supplier. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and systems, provide training to production staff, adhere to all safety protocols, and maintain employee performance reviews, setting and sharing best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on automated machinery.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues with automated systems.
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to automation systems.
  • Enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety of all machinery.
  • Lead on all preventative maintenance approach with all equipment.
  • Ensure PM plans as per machine supplier.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and systems.
  • Provide training to production staff.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Maintain employee performance reviews, setting and sharing best practices.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in a production environment.
  • Qualified Electrical Fitter with third level qualification.
  • Strong PLC programming knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of automation, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
