Sustainable Energy Community Developer

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a meaningful contribution to Ireland's transition to a low-carbon energy future. As a Sustainable Energy Community Developer, you will play a key role in enabling communities across Ireland to develop skills and capacity, identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption, adopt lower carbon options, and invest in smart technologies.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of sustainability, social sciences, business, environment, engineering, science, or other relevant discipline. They will also possess a minimum three years' experience of working in this or a related sector or in a similar role, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about sustainable development, has a strong work ethic, and is able to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be proficient in IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, and will have a full driving licence.

In this role, you will be required to undertake ad-hoc nationwide travel to attend and present at community events on behalf of our organization. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining effective working relationships with community groups, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

To qualify for this position, you must hold a valid visa on the date of application and submit a valid work permit/visa confirming permission to work in Ireland when requested.
