API Integration Solutions Architect

As a key member of our API Factory team, you will be responsible for delivering effective solution designs within the Bank's API platform. You will take the lead on the delivery from an API design perspective.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review design artefacts from other API solution architects within the factory team to ensure alignment with strategic architecture principles and direction.
  • Define and derive standard methodologies in the API space, adopting industry standard methodologies and highlighting areas within the API factory that require remediation.
  • Produce required design artefacts, independently or as part of a team, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Present to the Architecture Review Board when necessary and engage with key partners in the enterprise architect function and across the business.

Requirements

You are able to take a lead role and take ownership of complex integration deliveries. The strongest candidates will have a continuous improvement and innovative attitude.

A proven track record as a solution architect in designing solutions for large-scale API integration projects and programmes working in complex, multi-vendor change delivery organisations is essential. Experience in REST API design is highly desirable.


Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of the Mulesoft Anypoint Platform or similar API management platforms.
  • Mulesoft certification.
  • Experience in creation of Swagger or RAML definitions.

The API Factory provides critical API integration and engineering services to support the Bank's change programme of initiatives. We operate a 'one team' culture delivering through multi-functional squads.

Solution architects operate as a shared service provider to the delivery squads in developing solution plans and designing end-to-end API integration solutions.
