About the Opportunity

We are delighted to be supporting a well-established, three-partner Chartered Accountancy practice in Banbridge to recruit a client-focused, detail-driven Tax Senior.

The tax team is expanding off the back of sustained growth, offering broad exposure across personal and corporate compliance, enquiries, and advisory support.

Our client works with a diverse, active client base across the UK and Ireland, with international associates and a reputation for practical, relationship-led service.

  • Manage a varied portfolio covering income tax, corporation tax, VAT and PAYE compliance.
  • Take on enquiry work (HMRC compliance checks) and support planning assignments, building your advisory capability.

About the Role

Reporting to the Tax Manager/Partners, you will manage a mixed portfolio of personal and corporate clients, delivering accurate and timely self-assessment tax returns and corporation tax returns.

  • Prepare and review VAT returns and oversee PAYE/RTI compliance.
  • Maintain work-in-progress, monitor deadlines, and liaise directly with clients and HMRC.
  • Assist with HMRC enquiries, information requests and disclosure processes.
  • Support tax planning projects (for example: remuneration, incorporations, capital allowances, property, shareholder extractions).

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice environment.

  • ATT qualified (Association of Tax Technicians).
  • Clear communicator with strong numeracy, accuracy and deadline management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
