This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Environmental Health and Safety regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
A typical day may include:
- Ensuring compliance with environmental regulatory requirements for the site, including documentation and reporting requirements.
- Participating in sustainability and innovative efficiencies for the site.
- Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies for environmental compliance onsite.
- Participating in all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits and inspections, internal and external.
- Developing and delivering on-site EHS training.
- Participating in the development and continual improvement of the EHS Management System.
This role requires a thorough knowledge of EHS legislation for a pharmaceutical facility operating within Ireland/Europe, operational safety experience, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sustainability and Efficiency: Participate in initiatives to improve environmental sustainability and efficiency on site.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with environmental regulatory requirements and participate in EHS audits and inspections.
- EHS Training: Develop and deliver on-site EHS training to ensure a safe working environment.
- EHS Management System: Participate in the development and continual improvement of the EHS Management System.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Environmental Legislation: Thorough knowledge of EHS legislation for a pharmaceutical facility operating within Ireland/Europe.
- Operational Safety Experience: Proven experience in operational safety.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
