Automation Solutions Developer

This is a senior-level automation development position with a global leader in medical device manufacturing solutions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and integrating control system software for automated machines, including PLCs, robotics, motion, HMI, SCADA, and vision.

Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Develop, test, commission, and support machine control software, design system architectures, and develop process flows and software design specifications.
  • Equipment Design: Design equipment to CE, electrical, machinery safety standards.
  • Documentation: Interpret and develop design and validation documentation required for regulated industries.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team and collaborate and support customers throughout an entire project life cycle.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience with automated machine design, specification, and development is essential.
  • PLC and SCADA: Strong PLC and HMI/SCADA experience is essential, preferably with Allen Bradley, Omron, or Siemens platforms.
  • Software Architectures: Experience in software architectures and design, including GAMP, ISA88, ISA95 compliance.
  • Robotics and Motion Control: Familiarity with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics, and KUKA/Fanuc robot experience is advantageous.
Key Considerations
  • Qualification: A Level 8 qualification in a relevant engineering or closely related discipline is desirable.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in the field is preferred.

This role is a full-time position with a leading medical device manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing automation solutions for the company's business.
