Senior Speech and Language Therapist

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in a specialist stroke rehabilitation unit.

As part of the team, you will work closely with colleagues from physiotherapy, occupational therapy, medical social work, and dietetics to deliver high-quality patient care.

This role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing effective treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes for patients.

You will also have opportunities to participate in research and professional development activities within the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in research and professional development activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Recognised qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Eligibility for registration with CORU.
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, preferably in an acute neurological setting.
  • Significant experience in stroke and dysphagia management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
