Automation Systems Engineer Role Overview

The role of Senior Automation Systems Engineer is an exciting opportunity to work with global leading clients and contribute to industry-leading technology solutions.

As a seasoned professional, you will lead the design and implementation of automation control systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements. Your comprehensive expertise in controls design documentation, testing, and validation will be crucial in delivering high-quality results.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise system performance.
  • Architect and configure automation platforms, including FactoryTalk View SE and ThinManager.
  • Apply advanced programming skills in Rockwell PLCs (Ladder, Structured Text), FactoryTalk VBA, and SQL.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or Systems Engineering. You should have at least 5 years of post-graduate industry experience in Controls, Automation, or Systems Engineering, with at least 3 years in a GMP-regulated environment.

Expertise in Allen Bradley systems, including servo motion control, and strong knowledge of Ethernet/IP, IO-Link, and other industrial communication protocols are essential.

  • High attention to detail and strong project organisational skills.
