Job Overview

At a leading aerospace company, we're seeking an experienced Design Engineer to work on complex aircraft interior modifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and CAD design.

The Role

As a Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and integrating payload system requirements for large aircraft modifications. You'll need to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements, customer needs, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with global engineering services teams to identify project requirements and solutions;
  • Develop engineering design solutions using CATIA V5 or AutoCAD for cabin system modifications, including layout changes, galley installations, and environmental system upgrades;
  • Produce substantiation documents to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and operational requirements;
  • Compile engineering accomplishment documentation for continued airworthiness;
  • Represent the company at meetings, surveys, and installation support events.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field;
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in aircraft interiors mechanical/structural design engineering;
  • Current employment within the aerospace industry is preferable;
  • CAD design skills, including CATIA V5 and/or AutoCAD;
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 21J Design Organisation regulations and requirements.
