Procurement Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team based at our headquarters. This is a full-time, permanent role with a national remit, responsible for managing procurement across various industries.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Source and select suppliers for products and materials across the country and Europe.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings and secure competitive advantages.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to balance product availability with minimizing excess stock.
  • Identify and track new market trends, innovations, and eco-friendly solutions within various sectors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, product quality, and service levels on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborate with teams to forecast demand and plan procurement.
  • Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Manage procurement systems, purchase orders, and maintain accurate procurement records.
  • Participate in supplier audits, product selection for showroom displays, and supplier relationship management.
  • Support financial reporting for procurement activities.
  • Resolve supply chain issues promptly to avoid customer impact or project delays.
  • Attend trade shows, product seminars, and supplier site visits.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role, preferably at a senior level.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and procurement or inventory management software.
  • Strong understanding of products, fixtures, and industry trends.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional planning, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a customer-first mindset.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (2:1 or higher).
  • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) certification or equivalent.
  • Established supplier network within Ireland and Europe.
  • Experience in various sectors.
  • Familiarity with eco-friendly and sustainable product sourcing.
  • Understanding of markets and showroom operations.
  • Additional European languages (beneficial for dealing with international suppliers).
  • Project-based procurement experience.
